First Novel in Five-Book Series
LOS ANGELES, CA, December 23, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — “The Army of Lost Souls, thirty thousand strong, poured through the undefended ravines to the south of the mountain refuge of Quenin, under cover of the early morning winter mists, on what is now known as the first day in the Age of Impenetrable Darkness.” So begins veteran journalist/writer Ian Stokell’s first novel in the fantasy-action-adventure “The Queen of Quenin” series. Intended as the introductory book in a five-novel series, the 90,000-word title is now available on Amazon’s e-book Kindle platform, priced at $2.99.
Continues page one of the book; “By midday, the city lay in ruins, the dead and dying littered the streets like fallen leaves, and the beautiful buildings of the palace and the Citizens’ Assembly with their arches and sculptured columns burned with such a deep, wounded intensity that the tears of a hundred generations yet to be born still failed to quell the flames.”
The initial book – which features five strong female leads – documents attempts by the rightful heir to reclaim the throne of the Kingdom of Quenin and defeat The Army of Lost Souls, and in doing so, free the population of all subjugated lands from decades of oppression.
Says Stokell, “This novel is the first step in the telling of the epic story of the Kingdom of Quenin, from its history to its battles and formidably frightening creatures, through the eyes of the sisters. And just like with the epic and expansive evolution of Quenin, the telling of the story will evolve from e-book and the printed word, through film and online worlds, and eventually into games and cross-platforms.”
The first novel in “The Queen of Quenin” series is initially available as an e-book on the Amazon Kindle platform. Other platforms and a print version will be available at a later date.
