GSCPA has announced its scholarship award recipients for the 2018-19 academic year.
ATLANTA, GA, April 15, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Educational Foundation of The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) recently announced its scholarship award recipients for the 2018-19 academic year. Scholarships ranging from $1,000-$5,000, for a total of $114,200, were awarded to over 51 accounting students from 13 different Georgia universities and colleges.
Students were selected based on their commitment to pursuing a career in accounting, academic performance and achievements. An additional $3,000 in institutional support was granted by GSCPA chapters for a grand total of $115,333.
“The Educational Foundation’s scholarships are a great way to let future Georgia CPAs know that we support their efforts now and will continue to support them in the future. After college, The Georgia Society will be ready to welcome the next generation’s best and brightest to our much-loved profession and membership,” commented Kelly Cranford, scholarship committee chair.
Established in 1957, the Foundation, helps students achieve their goals of becoming CPAs by identifying the best and brightest individuals entering the profession and providing those individuals with the help needed to complete their education.
