Mayor Dan Gelber and City of Miami Beach Commissioners Unanimously Support Nomination of Elderly Health Care Business Owner and Executive
MIAMI BEACH, FL, January 24, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ — At today’s City of Miami Beach Commission Meeting, Mayor Dan Gelber and the City of Miami Beach Commissioners unanimously voted in favor of appointing Frank C. Mena, Esq. to the City of Miami Beach Health Advisory Committee. Frank was initially nominated by Commissioner Mark Samuelian and Commissioner Michael Gongora. According to Commissioner Samuelian, “the City of Miami Beach is fortunate to have someone of the caliber and experience of Frank be part of this important committee.” The Health Advisory Committee provides a tremendous service to the City of Miami Beach and takes advantage of the expertise of its members to advise the City Commission on matters of particular concern. Frank Mena is a long-time owner and executive of various healthcare entities in Miami-Dade County. He graduated from Columbia University School of law in 2000 and began his career as an attorney at one of Florida’s most prestigious law firms. In 2007, he transitioned into healthcare through his acquisition of the Assisted Living Facility where his grandmother resided at the time. Since then, Frank has owned, operated and/or served as a Board Member to multiple health care entities including Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs), Adult Daycare, Primary and Specialty Care Medical Centers, Management Services Organizations (MSOs), Physician and Physician Extender Homecare, Home Healthcare (Nursing, Physical Therapy, Home Health Aides), Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and health care staffing companies. His term as a Board Member of the Health Advisory Committee is effective as of January 15, 2020.
